how many boxsters are produced for the 97' model year ?

Indeed, that would be useful info if anyone has it. I wasn't able to come up with it from my usual sources...

my car is build 6/97 vin#24969,maybe there is some body with a higher vin #

This link implies that about 30,000 1997 MY Boxsters were produced. The date of this release is Sept, 2003...
