Shipping parts to Shanghai

Hi all, I'm fishing for a porsche/boxster part supplier who can ship to Shanghai, in China. If I get this right, PP does not include China in the list of Int'l shipping destination

I've been posted to Shanghai for work reason and likely to be here for the next 4 years. There are a few 'official' (hmmm) Porsche dealers here but the price of parts are often 5x higher than other dealers in EU and USA. Go figure why... I've asked the reason behind but never got a clear answer......

Any supplier(s) that you know who holds to a good inventory or parts, or can order from Germany and then ship to Shanghai, please let me know. At the moment I am literally stuck with eBay and Amazon... not a huge problem but would much prefer dealing with a professional.

Cheers all

Pelican can ship anywhere in the world. Believe it or not, we've never been asked to ship anything to China in the past 14 years! Just place the order and choose "Other Country", and we'll send you back a shipping quote.

Only 5 years ago, nobody owned a Porsche in this country. Oh, and the price of a 2010 Boxster in China is $230,000 (RMB1,500,000) so you can imagine that there is only a hand full of Porsche owners here! Servicing a Porsche in Shanghai(oil, filters, inspection) is about $1,200 for info. Go figure.......

I do my own mechanic lucky me.... racing motorcycles, importing performance parts and wrenching them myself of course. See www.flickr.com/multilogik for what we do in Shanghai! A Porsche shouldn't be much different than building a 200hp HRC superbike engine

I will place an order this evening Wayne. Much appreciated mate and looking forward

Yea mate, izz me there!! My little own Flickr. Been racing Superbikes for the last 14 years so the thumbs are now ignored! Got my 190HP CBR1000RR/HRC imported when I got here in Shanghai. I'm here for work obviously. There are plenty of little SBK races at local circuits and other Chinese provinces (F3 standards tracks) but the best part is we can practice at the F1 circuit one weekend per month (Open Track Days!). Touring, Exotic and Super Cars included!!

Bough the Box for the wifey but she is scared to death when driving it (engine roars, low, people looking at her, etc...). She gave up and prefer our old 1.8L Passat! So I decided to keep the Box to bring the helmet and racing gloves/boots to the circuits on the weekends.

Will MOD that car in no time...!!!
