Replaced starter, now car wants to shut off
I replaced my starter everything went well so I thought, started the car idled fine. Went for a drive came to a stop shut off. Started back up kept driving came to another stop, wanted to shut off but didnt. Rpms dropped real low, then stabalized. So would apprieciate any feed back on what it might be. Seems like something small, didnt do it before I changed my starter. Followed Waynes instructions on how to replace it. Thinking maybe had something to do when I flipped the throttle body up to get to starter, maybe need some adjustment, not sure thus my post. Thanks in advance.

More specifics...
You wanted to shut off or the car when it was appropriate to idle wanted to shut off all on its own without you doing anything. |

Wanted to shut off on its own, think I figured it out tho, might have left a vaccum line disconnected. Wont know until I get home to check.

Indeed, problems with idling like this indicate big-time vacuum leak.

Found the problem, two small vaccum hoses that connect to left and right of the throttle body, must have came out when I flipped it to get to the starter. Easy fix.

Cool deal. Vacuum leaks are the number one thing to hunt for!
