mixing hoolow and solid spoke rims?

I bought a car with a small rash on the front rim. Rims are turbo twists 18 inch hollow spoke 134.05. I found a new rim at a great price but its the 06 solid spoke. I believe they look identical? But approx 6lbs heavier? Any issues having the hollow on one side front and solid on the other front?

I couldn't do that to my car. I guess the most notable difference would be in braking. The lighter wheel having less inertia would slow quicker & I don't know what ABS would do from there. It would be much better to have the original wheel refinished. We are dutifully bound by Dr. Porsche's decree to "add lightness".

I agree that you really don't want to mix different rims. I can think of several things that might go wrong. Would it really be a problem? Likely not, but I wouldn't recommend going down that path.

1. There are places that will repair and repaint the rim for about $100. Had one of mine done, absolutely couldn't tell it wasn't original.

2. There are places that sell refurbished OEM wheels. Look at the bottom of this web page https://sites.google.com/site/mikefocke2/buyingtiresforaboxster
