987 Boxster Brake Light Problem
My left brake light won't come on and I get the message in the dash telling me to check it. The bulbs are all fine and the fuse is fine. The tail lights, turn signal and backup light all work on all sides. My right brake light is fine. Could the brake switch fail causing only the left light to go out?

Actually, I solved the problem. The bulb worked intermittently. It just happened to look fine and work ok when I tested it. I tested it several more times, and it failed 2 out of 3 times I checked it. odd...

Check Brake Light Warning
This one is all over the internet. Seems the database at your handy dandy auto parts is wrong. You need a 7225 not a 7228 which is a different resistance.
