A few drops of oil...

I've been parking the Boxster in the garage lately and seen a few drops of oil on the floor from below the engine?

Is a cause for concern? Normal?

Should I begin seeking IMS Failure Therapy?

Just curious.

Have you changed your AOS yet?
I noticed a few drops of oil here and there.
After I change out the AOS the drops were gone.
(AOS) Air Oil Separator . they tend to leak when failing or has failed.
Hope that helps.
You can buy one here at Pelican Parts.

One likely source is the O ring seals on the spark plug tubes. The O rings are inexpensive and Pedro (search Pedro's Garage) has a write up on how to replace them yourself - I did it on my '01 and it was pretty easy.

Lots of potential sources - a few drops could be irrelevant (cam covers) or could be significant (engine/trans mating area) depending on the location. Take a look and let us know.

I also seen 2 drops of oil the size of a dime since I have owned the car for a year. Did you drive the car hard the days the oil appeared? I noticed it was those days that this happened. And also have not seen anything for 6 months.

That sounds about right. 2 dime sized drops that have not reappeared.

Now if I could only figure out if my car "sounds right"... it can sound kind of clattery when going in reverse.
