spark plugs

I have a 2003 boxster 2.7L. The manual calls for Bosch FGR 6 KQC. Can I use FGR 6 KQE? What difference is there? Also, I noticed oil on the threads of the old plugs, but none around the electrodes. Should I be concerned?

I have 2000 'S' and went from a KQC to a KQE also. When I researched I determined this was ok, I think one just supersedes the other. The weird thing is the box they came in said KQE...though my notes I keep on repair history show KQU...so I'm wondering if when I looked on the new plugs there was a different number then box.

A darkish oil on the threads is normal...I posted a pic of the ones I took out.

Thanks for the info. I will install plugs tomorrow. I hoped to compare the old plugs, but they were a different brand, also not matching the manual. Hopefully, this will improve performance and mileage.
