Boxster stuck in gear?
Hello, I have a Boxster 2005 S 2.7 (987) and on the way home tonight it got stuck in first gear. No unusual noises with the gearbox or any rubbing, snapping sounds or any strange smells, just kind of all of a sudden happened. Clutch seems normal and can hear it operating and seems to work just fine. The gearbox lever is very light forward and back but very stiff side to side, so stiff that it will not turn and I do not want to force it. Anyone have anything similar happen or any ideas on what this could be?

Been optimistic I think your problem is on the linkage in the tranny.
I don't think you have broken forks or gears or shafts. Why don't you jack the car up and see if you can post pics to give you a better idea. Hope it helps |
