2005 Boxster S PCA & Grand Am race car
Hey gang.
I just wanted to stop by and introduce myself and our race team. I'm Steve and I'm one of the principals and drivers for the Trade Manage Racing team. We're gungho boxster fanatics and have enjoyed good success racing our Boxsters in PCA and Grand Am. For 2011, this year we're racing 2005 Boxster S's in both PCA and Grand Am. Our cars are nearly identical in cage, safety equipment, suspension and exhaust. One of the only differences is weight (grand am is 2675ish without driver, no fuel while PCA is 3060 including driver and fuel(thus about 140lb difference)...and engines: PCA stock G class is the stock 3.2l motor, no mods to motor or ECU, while grand am limits us to a 2.7l block, though the ECU can be tuned, and the motor can be blueprinted and 'improved' just a bit. We've had a decent year so far. We were 10th in the G/A opener at Daytona, though we should have been competing for the podium had it not been for two mistakes in pitlane. In race 2, we looked great till the coolant hose beneath the car came undone and we lost the motor. That weak link has been since strengthened, and in a big way. At Lime Rock this past weekend, we had some good success. I was fortunate to have a well prepared car, and found myself P1 in all 3 morning sessions, won pole with a new g class course record, and went on to win the class in both races, one being the overall win, and one 2nd place overall after an awsome battle which came down to the last 3 turns. Anyway, i thought you guys might dig some of the videos and pictures. We're happy to share some of our experiences putting the boxster through its paces in high level club and professional racing. I hope you enjoy.... ![]() ![]() ![]() more can be found at http:\\911flatnose.smugmug.com |

Awesome! Can you post a list of races for the season so I can follow your progress? I love watching Grand AM Conti-ST class races and am always following all of the Boxster entries.

May 27/28th @ Limerock June 2/3 @ Watkins Glenn July 22/23 @ NJMP. We'll probably skip Road America, Laguna and MidOhio Its our first year in Grand Am. Its a big expense. And we're using these races to develop the cars, and our team. So far its gone well, and we're targeting the full schedule for 2012. If anyone is to be at any of the races, come on by and say hi to a boxster brother. |

Sorry you're going to miss Road America...the best driver's track out there presently.
Good luck and we'll keep watching!
