Unhappy Head light bulbs too hot. Burning holes in headlamps

I've never had head light bulbs do this before.
When I bought my car one main head light bulb was burned out.
I replaced them with some hella h7 blue bulbs. I don't remember the exact type but I do recall them being off road only. But I've used off road bulbs before without issue..until now.

At first I thought I was getting fungi or something on the inside of the headlamp. Then after close inspection I noticed it was burnt from the inside out and on lamp has a small hole in it now.

I'm now going to have to buy 2 new headlamps unless I can find some used..not to mention new headlight bulbs that won't burn the plastic.

Any suggestions? Also is there any danger in the lamps until I can buy another set?

TIA

That is weird, I have the same bulbs in my Boxster.
Hella H7 blue bulbs that shine white.
Before I installed them, I already had a crack with a yellowish burn inside my right headlight.

After I installed the new Hella bulbs, nothing changed. It did not get worse. My Left Headlight still looks like new. I have been running the Hella H7's for maybe 4 months now, but the most I had them On continuously was for an hour maybe.

1st poster seems to be running the 100W off-road version, you might have the 55W version.

It's a wise idea to only run the recommended bulbs. If you want to go with a bit more illumination, then I suggest an HID kit like the one that I installed here: Pelican Technical Article: Budget Boxster HID Headlamp Retrofit - 986 / 987

by the way, when I was looking at several boxsters for sale, the majority had yellowing lenses inside the headlight casing. Mine is beginning to do this now, and have only run the standard bulbs.
