Is the 'S' Muffler Different Compared to Non 'S' Muffler?

Is the 'S' Muffler Different Compared to Non 'S' Muffler?
Does the 986 'S' exhaust system has the same characteristics and the basic Boxster model?

Yes, the 'S' muffler has a different tip on it, and supposedly sounds different too, although I haven't compared them side-by-side. The 'S' exhaust has two outlets, and the non-'S' has only one big one in the middle.
