Removal of the caliper is accomplished by unbolting the two hex bolts that mount it to the arm (yellow arrow).

Does anyone know the exact size of these hex bolts? I'm thinking of buying only this socket instead of a full set of hex sockets.

10mm hex - I found it at this write-up, which also recommends using a manual impact driver to remove the locator screw:
