Cool 2 birds with one stone as the saying goes!

Very soon after the purchase of my 02 Boxter S it through a CEL light. At the time it was a little unnerving because I have never had a car before with this type of tech. It happened just after some spirited driving. I was told by the guy I bought it off that he didn't drive it fast, not one for speed, anyway I thought there may be a connection. The CEL wasn't flashing so I put it out using the disconnect battery method.
Over a period of a few months the CEL would come on again (cleaned MAF, new K & N air-filter). Over the last two months it was coming on every two weeks (car runs great all the time). Something I noticed also was a tinny type of rattle at start up, this was faint when I bought the car but was getting louder.
I haven't got the Durametric yet so I decided to have another look round the car. The rattle seamed to be from the rear. After jacking the rear I noticed one of the double clamps on the exhaust had no bolt in, so I did this, it wasn't loose though. Still feeling around the rear, happened to touch one of the O sensors, yes you guessed it, it was loose, about three turns loose. Thats it I thought, but wait check the other side, would you believe it, three turns loose as well. Started the car not a trace of a rattle.
After six weeks no CEL lights either," Two birds with one stone" up to now I think so.

Good work. You are not in/near Barrow-in-Furness by any chance?
