axle 97 boxster

how can tell if outet axle joint is no good?
thanks in advance for any comments.

The most obvious trouble signs while driving include noises or vibrations. Clicking noises during turns, clunking noises when changing gear, and growling noises all signal CV joint damage. the other thing you can do is jack it up (prefferably on lift) and try to physically move axle up and down, rotate wheel and try again. if you feel any play or hear clunking then you know you have problems
