PDK questions

Anybody had any problems with there PDK? Have you had it serviced yet and what was the cost of that?
Just wondering.

Some of the PDK's have had occasional automatic shifting issues that could be fixed by software updates, but not always. If that does not work, the dealer only has replacement of the gearbox as an option (no parts or fixtures are available to service the unit). You should also be aware that only the very latest version of the PIWIS is capable of running diagnostics on a PDK, so you are pretty much stuck with having the dealer working on it.

The unit uses two lubricants, one for the gearbox and a second for the clutch, Pentosin FFL-3 (about $25 per liter) for the clutch and hydraulics, and the second is ExxonMobil Mobilube PTX 75W-90 (about $26 per gallon) for the gear-set and bevel gear.
