Differences between Boxter and Boxter S?

I am inquiring about the design differences between the Boxter and Boxter S models.
First, do they both use the same design suspension and are just dampened differently or are they completely differrent?
Second, are the motors and their intake/exausts and headers all the same and the power difference comes from just the displacement difference?
I'm interested to know what exaclty makes the difference between the two cars. Thanks.

Who makes the Boxter? Hmm...I know porsche has a Boxster. Big differences between the two, all around. Brakes suspension, transmission (6-speed ). As far as I am concerned the biggest difference is price around a 10k difference. The S is a nice car if you can spend the extra money. I couldnt do it, I dont race so I got everything I needed for my money.

As BigB sayid, the Boxster S has a bit more displacement, better brakes and a 6-speed transmission. I think but am not sure that the S comes with the regular Boxster's sport suspension package as standard.

Excellence Magazine recently did a comparison asking if the S was worth the extra money. The conclusion was that while the S is nice, it's biggest benefit is the 6-speed tranny, which lets you keep it in the power-band better, so if you're getting a tiptronic model it's pretty much not worth the dough.

Got to admit I'm tempted - found a 1998 near me for under $30k and under 15k miles!

If you have the money to spare, go for it. They are a blast.
