How do I remove the trunk liner so I can check for coolant tank leaks under the liner. I have a 2006 Boxster

The trunk liner is held on simply with a set of plastic screws & snaps. Take my word for it - you will break a bunch removing the liner, so just order some new ones (from Pelican) to have as spares.

There are some screws near the center at the latch cover. Then a few of the fasteners are sort of threaded expanding plastic molly bolts and others just pry out (no slot on the cap). Buy a trim remover tool and you might get a few out without breaking them. The tool is kind of a small prybar with a forked end to fit around the fastener.
Watch out around the trunk light bulb. That thing gets hot! Ask me how I know. |
Wayne...what is the part no.(s) on the retaining snaps?

This is all fine and dandy for 986's, but the coolant bottle is moved to the engine compartment on 06's guys. You shouldn't need to remove anything from the trunk as it's just an access (fill) port.
