Boxster S noise, please help!

Hello most helpful forum

I've just bought a 2000 Boxster 3.2S manual. The car has done 82000 miles, has 2 issues which I think are related, there is what sounds like an exhaust blow. I have checked the exhaust and cannot find one! Years ago I worked to GM and the V6 engines has EGR issues with a pipe that would split and sound like a blow? Does the S have this?

Also the idle is rough.

The car has a tequipment exhaust and the last owner put new headers & a new alternator recently. The car drives & performs well.

Any and all help appreciated.
Jay

I got a S 3.2 3 weeks ago. Although my idle is rough sometime (working on fixing things) there is no blow on mine.

There are those that know more than I but any exhaust problem will affect the O2 sensors. You have any codes or CEL on?
