Cup Holder/Seat Back
Have an "03" with broken cup holder, it will not recess and hold, the front release bar is not attached, appears ratchet of hold mechanism is broken. Question: how to remove the cup holder, seems to be held in place by two spring loaded catches on top and sides of cup holder top. Can someone give me some advice on removing the broken cup holder, also need a new cup holder part, used, or advice on where to purchase at best price.
Also have inoperative powered seat back on drivers side. Have new motor but need advice removing the front seat to access the motor and mechanism. Thanks from newbie Boxster Owner. ![]() |

I have a cup holder from an 01. Not sure it is the same part you need. It was under the front vents. I put in a double din radio and took out the cup holder. PM me if you want it.

I believe the "01" cupholder is different from the "03". Many thanks for the offer

The cup holder comes out as a whole. The bezel around it unsnaps. Once removed you'll see the screws to remove it. I'm not aware of individual parts, but you can buy a new holder from our host for $78.75.
I've never replaced a motor in the seat, but beware if you remove it. If it's like the passenger seat, the airbag light illuminates upon removal and can only be extinguished at the dealership, or by a Durametric. |
