Sidemarker Light Bulb
Mike Focke's webpage says to use 2825 as a replacement bulb for the sidemarker.
Phillips light bulb guide in the store says to use 12961. Sylvania online says to use 2825. However, all I see in the automotive stores, that look similar to the bulb I took out, which read W5W 12V, are 192 and 168. Looking online, 192 is a 3W bulb and 168 is a 4.9W bulb. Do any of you, that's replaced this bulb, used 168 and had success? Last edited by bar10dah; 01-17-2012 at 04:14 PM.. |

I swapped out my burned out bulb with a 168. Appears to be the same brightness as the other side, so I think I'm good.

A W5W bulb is a Sylvania 2825. Here's a pix for my 987 with bulb refrerences.

Thanks Paulv. Neither part number was available locally. I ended up using a 168 and it matches in size and perceived brightness. Wattage was off 0.1 W.
