My Boxster won't Accelerate
Let me start out out with the car; It's a 1999, 2.5, Non-egas and 5 speed.
The car starts and ideals fine, but when I depress the accelerator , it bog's out and misfires. It's not giving me any codes; I thought it was the fuel pump so I replaced it and no help ![]() Car ran fine the previous day and now it won't even move. Any Ideas? Thanks |

The filter is new. I even tried a new MAF, but no go.
Thanks |

If it is misfiring, there should be codes, get the car scanned...........

Have the car tested for fuel volume delivery and pressure. Quickly done, it will confirm or exclude the fuel system.

JFP is right on both counts - if the car is misfiring it will produce codes. The only caveat is if there is something really wrong with the computer and it's fried or having difficulty. Then it may not produce codes or even function properly at all.
Try unplugging the MAF sensor and see if that makes a difference... -Wayne
