Diving in! My first Porsche repair.
Well, I thought I would give an update as to my first repair on my 05 Boxster S.
I purchased my first Porsche in November knowing it needed a clutch. After reading these fine articles here on this site, I figured on installing an IMS bearing, and RMS while Transmission was out. Thanks to the great documentation in the articles , it turns out mine can't be replaced w/o splitting the case. I guess 05 was a tossup whether it had single row or newer style bearing. (Didn't waste time and $ ordering what couldn't be changed) ![]() The clutch, RMS, pressure plate, T/O bearing, main shaft seal on tranny, and many other misc. parts put in with no real problem. ![]() ![]() A couple hundred miles now and it's running great! ![]() I hope I can give back and post some topics that help you all too. Regards. Clint

The 05 was a transitional year for the IMS, some have the type that can be replaced, some do not. Unfortuantely, the only way to know is to look at it, if it has the 22MM center bolt as yours does, you are out of luck. Good time to consider Jake's monitoring device........

Congrats on a job well done. I did all this too recently. It's a nice accomplishment.
