Hi Wayne, when will the pelican IMS kit be finally available? the site just keeps saying "coming soon" I believe we all need a more affordable alternative to the LN engineering kit.

There's speculation it will be released in the next two months based on what I've heard. Wayne said something about testing it to make sure it held up in an earlier thread. He got 25,000 miles out of it with no problems, but I am sure he is making sure it is a quality product. Rumor has it the kits are already made but they are doing quality testing. Of course the only way to know for sure is to ask from the horse's mouth.

Thanks ken. I suppose it makes sense to test it properly to make sure they hold up before they market it. I hope Wayne is reading this as well. I'm so curious as to how much cheaper it'll be compared to LN's kit. Is there a way for pelican customers and forum members to be notified via blast email once the kit is ready? I need this kit now!

Yes, an ETA would be helpful Wayne, as I am interested in your shaft...

I hope this information helps guys.
Taken straight from my copy of Wayne's book, "101 Projects for your Porsche Boxster" "The Pelican kit is still in the stages of prototype testing and will be available in the fall of 2010, most likely in the $165 range." |

We're just about all done testing it. I'm up to my eyeballs in our new catalog project, but the new bearing kit will be released soon. Pricing not set, but $165 seems about right.

Thanks for that Wayne. Where do I sign up to purchase? (I really don't want to be in the backorder list ) My sense is that a lot of boxster owners would like to do the IMS retrofit but are discouraged due to the high cost of LN engineering's kit or whatever else is out there. $165 is not much to pay for one's peace of mind. I think I read somewhere that part testing has already done 20,000 miles. If so, then I'm fine with that for the price. Just get it out there already! WE NEED THIS NOW
