Heated seats

The driver heated seat won't stay on. The red light comes on, then goes off immediately, won't go to amber. This is a 2001 "S" Any suggestions? Thanks.

I had the same problem on my boxster. If you pull the seat cover off you will most likely find that the wire that connects to the heating element is broken. It took about 30 minutes to pull the seat, remove the cover, find the break and re-solder. Haven't had a problem since I did the fix over a year ago (of course I don't use the heated seats much down here). I can't remeber where, but there is a forum article on it with pictures somewhere on the web.
