left tail lights not working
Hi,
I have a 2001 boxster s. When I turn on the lights on the car, left driver side tail lights aren't working. There are two lights that don't operate, a small one and a little bigger bulb. The remaining lights on that side work, (reverse lights, brake lights, etc). I changed the bulbs, still no light, and of course, it can't be the fuse, because the fuse operates both tail lights, and the passenger side tail lights are functional. Any suggestions? Where should i follow the wires to find the fault? Thank you in advance. |

You have swapped the bulbs from the right side tail-light to the left to assure that it isn't a bulb issue. Also recall that there is a fog light in there that only comes on on one side and then only on special request...see the owner's manual.
I've heard of folks where the "circuit board" inside the light failed...in fact I sold both my originals to guys who needed them as replacements. It can be as simple as looking at the plug in connections and at the traces on the board. Last edited by mikefocke; 03-06-2012 at 10:27 AM.. |
