Is there a trick to removing the plastic trim around the radio and climate control ?
I need to replace the climate control unit due to a bad LCD display. I've got a plastic trim tool that can lift the edge of the trim but wasn't sure how it was affixed to the dash. Also has anyone just replaced the LCD module instead of the whole unit. I got a new unit for $450 bucks which seemed like a good deal but I see the LCD kits for around $80.

If it's the rectangular trim piece you're talking about it is held in by four tabs and should snap out with your trim tool by gently prying it.

Piece of cake, climate control in and working like new
Took 10 minutes. Wonder if there is any value in the old one as a core for a rebuild
