What is this Boxster worth?

Posted this on Rennlist with no replies. 1999 Boxster 143,000 miles is white on tan, tiptronic, oil leak substanstial, chain tensioners noisy on start up and needs a right rear shock. Drives good. body and wheels look good. Oil leak location has not been identified. After sitting puddle is abou 6" in diameter. Thanks

Not a lot; the oil leak is probably the RMS, so you are looking at $2-3K to pull the Tip, update the IMS and RMS, throw in a new AOS while the Tip is out because it is out in the open at the time. Add in a set of new chain tensioners at a minimum (the car may need the chain paddles as well because the early ones wear more quickly, which will add a substantially larger amount to the repairs tab) and you could be in the $5K range to fix everything.

If you can get the car a the right price, it might be worth doing, but you need to think about what you are going to spend immediately just to put it on the road......

Thanks for the insight, I'm going to let this one go unless of course the price is right. Thanks again.
