oil leak 2.7 top front of engine, behind drivers seat

Hi again, I have an oil leak coming from near the top of the engine on the drivers side just behind the drivers seat area. Several inches above the scavenge pump. I'm including a pic of a hose im wondering if should be connected. (not the power steering overflow hose). It's has a black plastic tip with a little grill and a spring inside it. I'm wondering is this contraption a tiny breather? or should it be connected. The pics were taken inside the car and the hose is to the right of the a/c pulley, near where 2 colored wires come out of the black wire insulation. My leak is somewhere near this or above. Thanks for any feedback, also on potential leaks in this proximity.
I've recently replaced, the oil cooler o-rings, and all the pieces of the oil filler tube. Also replaced scavenge pump o-ring.
Thanks again.

Possiblt from the hydraulic fluid reservoir. I have the same issue. There is a short tine from the reservoir that you might want to extend to the bottom.

The black "grill" with the spring behind it is a breather mounted to the head. The only hose connected to it is the opposite side, & that hose goes accross the engine to the AOS. I can't see where the leak may be coming from in the pic but I would look at P/S pump.

Did you ever find out the cause of this? I noticed the same (very minor) leak on my '99 2.5.

No. Its a very minor leak and I will investigate more. I just replaced the waterpump and epoxied a hairline crack in my washer fluid reservoir.
