General Questions about Type 1 Boxster S

I am considering purchasing a Boxster S for a 2nd vehicle and have a few questions that some of the experts on here can hopefully help with.

I don't really like the "fried egg" headlight look and prefer the clear lenses. Is there any way to modify the existing assemblies, or would I need to purchase new? (~$1000).

Some of the boxsters I have looked at online show accidents in their car fax. If I have a good PPI done, should I not worry about it, or would you still shy away from it?

Is a "lower mileage" car really worth the extra $$?

If I get a set of 19" wheels and tires, will I also need to lower the suspension to keep the ride height the same?

I realize that there aren't any hard and fast answers to my questions, so opinions are ok too.

If you simply want to DE-amber the headlights I believe that is possible, search internet for parts. To replace with 2002 up 996 style I belive you need the bumper cover to match. I like the amber lighting so I'm not to up on these "upgrades."

Buy the best condition car you can afford, this often means the best maintained car somewhat regardless of mileage. If your preference is cosmetic condition over mechanical condition, low mileage may be preferable as mechanical parts can be made as new, but original paint cannot always be restored.

If you install 19" wheels with tires of the same diameter as OEM there is no need to alter suspension.
