Yes, but you need the immobilizer and keys to match, otherwise this won't start the car?

Wayne,
If thats the case then why didnt I need those parts when I replaced this for a stock ECU? Also why would FVD sell just the ECU and not the other parts or even mention needing them? I believe you can replace the ECU and, if needed, just have the immobilizer reprogrammed. Tim |

You're right Tim.
All you need is either the programming code or the VIN of the donating car so the dealer can look the codes up in the Porsche database. I also swapped a used DME in my 986 andhad the DME re-coded to match the immobilizer codes. Only thing you can' t do is re-program animmobilizer itself.
