CD-220 Questions

1. Does someone have instructions for the multiplayer mounted in the front trunk?
I tried using mine for the first time since I purchased the 996 and it says "No Disk found" when I select the "Source" thru the Radio. - I made sure the CD's were label down and I filled each slot. To load them I slid door to side. Pressed button and changer popped out , added CD's and reversed procedure to put changer back in.
(It is possible that this has the audio in for MP3 Players mod but if so, I do not see a connector inside the car)

2. If you have a CD-220 but don't have the "DSP" - how do you adjust Left/Right and Back front speakers?

3. I am not hearing sound at same level on drivers side of car. I selected Left most position for sound on the DSP and to me it still sounds like I am mostly getting the sound from the pass side of the car.(I have not physically stuck my ear up to the speaker in the door to ensure any sound is coming out but will ASAP.) When I select left , middle , right for the sound should it be obvious to me that it is coming from the side I have selected?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I now have the pdf of the radio thanks to a board member.

I see there is no mention of a reset on the CD-3 and I see nothing else in the manual that would do a reset to get the CD-3 to recognize CD's.

Maybe the laser is dirty or maybe as shown in these two pics the CD-3 is not connected to the radio anymore.

I found the following cable tucked up under the front of the center console. I also see evidence of two 2*4 inch pieces of velcro glued down to the carpet in this hard to access location.

Maybe a old fashion Cell radio?, A CB? Or some interface to MP3 Player.

There also was a Mic plastic mount screwed to the side of the center console before I got it so possibly a phone or CB mic holder.

Anyway here are the pics of the cable. I see there are a couple of inline fuses covered over with Black electricians tape also.

I did not know that this post would stump the board.

I have since determined that it is the Phone plug that I have read elsewhere about but have not seen an actual picture.

The wires appear to match with what I have read as to a Ground, Switched +12vdc, Hot +12vdc, and a mute function.

The white plug with the two inline fuses must have been a mod for another application. I robbed, switched 12vdc and am using it to power a Radio Shack wired Female cig plug that I then am plugging a Male USB 5vdc adapter plug into to power my Iphone.

I have found out that mine doesn't like CD-RW's; original CDs or CD-R's are just fine. Not sure if that's why yours aren't reading but I thought I'd throw that out there; it's not in the manual.
