top continues to open with switch activated
 

I have a 97 boxster and I just replaced the push rod and boom a rang bracket on the one side. I synced the sides up with the drill motor. The limit switch above the motor for the clam shell does not work. I ohmed it out with a meter and it makes and brakes electrically ok. Even with the switch open the top continues to open with constant pressure on the rocker switch. If its a relay stuck, which one is it and can i swap it with another to verify?

No matter what the indicator light the roof is in operation is on all the time. I like to know what relay it was if it was the problem so I could swap to trouble shoot . Please let me know if there is data on the relay id. Thanks.

The switch should stop the clamshell from closing - is that what you mean it's not doing?
