New Boxster Owner

Hello All,

I just purchased a 2001 Boxster S Tiptronic with 22K miles. I love the car so far, but honestly this forum scares the crap out of me with all the horror stories about failed bearing etc. I am living in Roseville, California and need a reference for a good mechanic. Does anybody have a good one in the area they can recommend?

Also, what reliability based upgrades would you all recommend? Thanks for all your help.

Go to one of the PCA Sacramento Valley Region events (Google their site) and get to know the members and perhaps join. You'll get lots of help finding a good mechanic from them. Enjoy your Boxster and remember you will not hear success stories on forums only the worst case scenarios and those are far fewer.

22K miles on an 02? Uh oh.

Just kidding. I understand your concern but go have fun. This car is a blast.

Already bought your book, ordered a tune up kit from you and changed the oil. I appreciated the great customer service I received from your sales staff. Thanks.
