Durametric Software
I am a relative newbie to the Boxster community, and at the risk of stating the obvious for those more experienced with these cars, I just purchased and plugged in the Durametric Tool to my Boxster and what a wonderful thing it is! If you dont have one, I highly recommend it. No Boxster DIYer should be without it.

Interesting you should mention this. I have an acctron code reader, and was just this week considering getting Durametrics. The Acctron wont reset the air bag warning light which is stuck on because I stupidly pulled out the passengers seat with the power on (had to replace power seat switch assembly). I heard the Durametrics will reset these codes, can you confirm?

yes, the reason i bought it was for an airbag warning light reset. I needed to get a new inspection sticker and in Massachusetts they wont pass you with the light on. It took about two seconds to reset the light. I have used the real time trending as well, but be careful not to try and trend too many variables at once,it will choke

Lyle, Keep your eye on Ebay. You can find them there with one vin used quite frequently at 2/3's of the price new. That's where I got mine.

Bear in mind that for the lower price, the Durametric only accepts 3 VINS. You would have to pay Durametric to unlock it. By then you could have a new one.
So how do you know how many have been used buying on fleabay? Serious question because I have one but I haven't turned it on in 2 years. |
