Boxster spark plugs

The dealer wants $550 to change the spark plugs on my '05 Boxster S. Has anyone done that? Is it a big deal? I'm thinking of doing it myself. Don't care how long it takes just if it is doable.

If you are doing the tubes also, try a 3/4" threaded pipe nipple and cap from lowes or home depot to extract them. The pipe nipple screws in and then you can pry out the tube.
I tried several other online methods of extracting the tubes without much success.

The OP has an 05, should be no need to touch the tubes on that car. Job is way easy, especially if you take off the rear tires.

they sell this at lowes or home depot in the iron pipe section. The 3/4 in size worked perfectly for me. You can screw it into the tube and then easily pull the tube out without worrying that it will break.
