stalls at juctions

My Boxster starts ok,and ticks over at 800 rpm, but when out on the road the engine stalls, when changing down to approach a junction, i have replaced the fuel filter and the spark plugs.
Could it be the coil packs, i have checked with a scanner and it reports a misfire on multiple cylinders.

When I get multiple misfires I always check Camshaft and Crankshaft position sensors.

Part of the whole "spark system" (old school distributor/point/coil)

In my other cars I experienced a combination of these failed items.

Check the maf sensor. Sounds a bit like what mine did and a quality Bosch replacement was the cure. Good luck!

What are the actual code numbers? I'd bet the coil packs are on the way out. I think Porsche is up to about the eighth design revision on these things now.

Thanks for the advice, i removed the idle control valve and washed the crap out, also the throttle body, replaced the coil packs, and it sounds as sweet as a nut.
