Eric, for my climate (Jackson Hole, WY), this is something I would consider. Approximately how long does it take you to install the hard top? About how much does it weigh? I will be in LA in 3 weeks and could pick it up if it would fit inside my Ford F250 8' bed camper shell. I have about 6'X7' of space, but I'd have to measure.

I have one for my 986, takes about 90 sec or less with two people, too awkward to handle by yourself, i think it weighs less than 50 lbs.
I live in Boston.

Yes, pretty darn easy to get on and off. Three quick release latches hold the top on. The convertible stays stored in the down/open position below the hard top when not in use.

It will definitely fit in the bed of the truck. I can carry and move it by myself, but depends on your age/stature. More awkward than it is heavy.

Thanks Eric. I assume this is the original paint? I will give this serious thought and let you know.

Yes, sorry, it has been a busy week getting prepared and traveling to the PCA Festival of Speed event this weekend.

I do not currently have any of the additional items available with the top, such as the trim pieces, nor the install kit. I can order them for you from Porsche though and include them. Should just take a few days to get them.

Thanks, Eric, I definitely would want the trim pieces and install kit. I will be in LA during the last week of April with my pickup truck and could pick the hard top up on April 24th. Please let me know when you will be home to discuss specifics, either by email or phone (I would rather not continue doing business on the forum). My phone # is 307-733-3626, and you have my email address.
