Should I go ahead with a PPI on this car?

Found a Boxster I'm interested in but have a few concerns:

It's a '98 five speed, two owner, 86k, lupis blue on gray leather, showroom condition except wear on the seat bolster, complete with a factory hardtop and accessories (bras, factory cover, hard top lift and storage cover, etc) for $10k.

My concerns are:

1) Owner has only put about 7,000 miles on it since 2003, and only about 1500 miles in the last 6 years (bad for the IMS bearing??!). Says he drives it about once a month but gets it up to temperature. Claims oil changes about once a year. No real service history except dealer stamps in the book from the original owner.

2) This will be my daily driver, around 5k per year, so should I start with a car that has lower miles and pay a few thousand more, or is 86k on a Boxster nothing to be afraid of if it passes a PPI?

Can post pics if it helps.
