Boxster engine rebuild.

Hi Folks,
Looking for some guidance please.....
I have just bought a 2000 2.7 Boxster in Fife U.K. knowing there is an engine problem. What exactly, is not yet known. Loads of great information on how to remove and tear down the engine. I have the 101 Projects and Bentleys manual but cannot find anything on how to rebuild, i.e. 1)acceptable tolerances, 2)torque wrench settings, 3)assembly sequences for block and head bolts.
Also can I fit a new IMS and main bearing without special tools while the block is apart?
Cheers,
John.

There are 10 or so videos on YouTube showing various stages of a Boxster S engine rebuild. Look for Porsche Boxster S engine rebuild 01. Hope they help.

Link to the Video on YouTube here. Workshop manuals will come in handy, with torque settings and lots more, you can download from her. And there are a few treads around describing the process: this one on rennlist.com and this one here on Pelican.
But this is not like any other rebuild. You need tons of special tools and lots of time and there is barely enough information around. But Flat Six Innovation have 3 day engine rebuild school devoted to the M96 engine and there is also some information on their site: http://www.flat6innovations.com/ You might also want to visit LN-Enginering´s home page. http://www.lnengineering.com/
Best of luck
