how do I check a/o clean the a/c drain in 99' boxster...??Li
 

a puddle happens in the passenger footwell when the a/c is run...my guess is that the condenser a/o evaporator or what ever a/c part is there is having problems with discharging condensate when it is working, thus the puddle that happens...

My initial thought is to open up what ever is there & investigate, but, I would rather have some insight from a fellow pelican on this subject before I dive in & I cannot find any articles addressing my experiences & dont want to wast time doing such if it wont fix the puddling occuring....

Drain runs under the car, near the centerline and just ahead of the firewall. You need to put the car up in the air and blow some low pressure air into it to free it up,

Should u remove the assembly in the passenger footwell & start there cleaning & blowing in the direction of water flow...??

No, because to get at the heater box end you need to take the dash apart. Usually, there is just a bit of mold build up that once knocked loose, gets flushed out by condensate from the AC system.

JFP's advice is excellent.

If you want to look further, you could visually inspect the drain hose from where it exits the heater box under the dash to where it exits the car. To do this you will need to remove several things. First, remove the foam cover under the passenger side of the dash to reveal the bottom of the heater box. Then peal the carpeting back and follow the drain hose from the box to the hole in the floor. If you pull the hose out, be careful. You might end up with a lot of condensate on the carpet and floor.

In my car, I pulled the drain hose out of the floor exit hole. I haven't pulled it out of the heater box so I don't know how easy it is to put back in.
