This is a suggestion for as addition to the project 71 in the book 101 projects for your boxster. I had replace the pushrods for my top. I had always garaged my 1997 boxster until this year when I needed to rely on it as my daily driver. I had a severe water leak and during a torrential downpour my floors filled up with water and my security system malfunctioned and i was not able to start my car. Fortunately I was able to bale my car out without severe damage to my controls under the seatsair bag and security system. I found that when the pushrods for my top broke they ripped the liner in the top compartment. I was surprised that this is not mentioned in your bookI love the book. It looked like a major job to replace the liner so I repaired it with sealer and I believe my water leak problem is solved. I would like to save other boxster owners from possible damage and see the liner mentioned in your articles. Thank you for your great articles.
