Tall Driver Clutch Pedal Mod?

Hello Everyone. I'm shopping around for a used Boxster and would prefer a manual transmission over the tiptronic. I'm 6'3" and all the manual shift boxsters I've test driven force me to spread my legs when releasing the clutch to get my thigh to clear the steering wheel. It also seems the pedal starts engaging rather far from the floor and is quite high. Does anyone have ideas on mods to lower the clutch pedal and also make it engage nearer the floor? This should give me the necessary legroom at the steering wheel.

Howdy Hank. I am 6'2" and own a 986. I don't really notice it and guess I am just used to it - though my clutch engages relatively low to the floor. Also, you can remove the dual 'oddments' trays below the radio/climate control module (at least on the 986) and that will provide more room for your brake/gas leg.

As the clutch is hydraulically operated, you cannot change when it engages. You can get aftermarket seat rails to lower the seat to give you as much room as possible, and it is also possible to delete the console to give more room as well.
