718 Sports Mode Indicator Dial Question

After driving my 718 HARD in Sports mode for a period of time the dial indicates that it has switched back to NORMAL mode. Turning the dial will not change the indicator back to SPORT or SPORT PLUS mode. The vehicle seems like it may still be in SPORT mode but hard to tell. Is this normal or something that needs to be taken back to the dealer to address?
