03 boxster power steering pump noise

I posted this question in the wrong place yesterday. My 03 Boxster is getting hard to turn, no noise when I turn the steering wheel, just hard to turn.
I put fluid and now the PS pump is doing a noise, that did not happened before. Could be the PS pump is bad. how diffiucult to replace it, how much I need to pay for the pump and labor to replace it, could I do it myself? Thanks for any reply
