Engine number decipher

Is there a way to determine what this engine is based on number?

M96/2065X24212

this is a 99 Boxster 2.5 engine

M96.20 is the engine type
6 is # of cylinders
5 is for 2.5 engine
X is 1999
24212 is engine sequence number (build range is #00501 - 60000)
