01 boxster s won't start

Turns over and wants to start but it won't crank. Had to replace the cam sensor, showed code p1397 and it still shows after replacing. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have a scan tester like a Porsche 500 meter or durametric. Crank the motor and observe if you have a crank reference signal.
