18x10 wheels on rear?
2000 Boxster,
Right now I have 18x9 on the rear, 18x7.5 on the front and when I ordered the new set of wheels I ordered 18x 8 for the front with ET 54 and by accident 18x10 ET 40 for the rear. I meant to order the 18x9 for the rear. Tire rack shows that both will fit and they recommend the same size tire for both 265/35/18. Which is what I'm running now on the 18x9. I mounted the new wheel on the rear hub without the tires on it tonight and it looks like it sticks way out there when viewing it from the front, but it is still up on jack stands. Will it tuck in some when I sit the car back on the ground? Is any one running a 18x10 on the rear with a 265/35 tire and if so does it look correct? Does it look like it is sticking out too far? Does the tire look like it is being stretched to fit? Just wonder if I should send them back and get the 18x9 or go forward and get these mounted? I need response tonight so that I can load them up in the truck to take with tomorrow . Thanks Rick

I am running 18 x 10s on the rear of my car with no problem. I'm not sure what the offset is. I think my rear tires are 285. I can check tomorrow,

In my old boxster I had 18x10 et65 with 265/35/18 . Was running a 15 mm spacer to clear the strut from the rim.
This was a 911 rim. Original tire size is the one above. It fit just right.
