Are the 4,5,6 cylinders on the driver side?
Can someone confirm
On the Boxster 2.5 and 2.7 are the 4,5, 6 cylinders on the driver's side? Think so but wanted to ask... Chasing a P0300, P0304, P0305, P0306 CEL and want to make sure I'm looking at the correct side for problems. ![]() |

That depends on what side the driver is... If you have a right hand drive car, then the cylinder 1-2-3 is on the driver's side in a Boxster/Cayman.
If you look at the figure above, the 996 M96 engine has cyl 1-2-3 on the left side. The 986 Boxster has basically the same engine turned 180 degrees, so cyl 1-2-3 will be on the right side. |
