Looking for a Cayman
Hello. Thanks in advance. I currently have a 1986 911 turbo and am looking at the Cayman. If you had $35,000 to spend on a Cayman, what would you buy? Base vs S? What year? Mandatory options? Thanks.

Hi,
I went from a 79SC to a 06 Cayman S. I modded the SC as much as I could and wanted something new. I looked everywhere for a couple of years, it was a saga, won one on ebay, it was in an accident got out of it. I had two in Vegas that I liked but both owners changed their minds. I finally got fed up and posted here of exactly what I wanted and sure enough someone came forward with the exact car and the deal was done ![]() Take your time, chose the options you can't live without, year and mileage, colour - then start your hunt.... I picked an S over a base for bigger engine more HP AND better resale value in the future. Good luck and don't settle after all you have the 930 to play with while you hunt ![]() Bob

I went from a 85 911 to the 06 Cayman S. I'm very happy with the car - but if you don't want the 'IMS" cloud over your head, look for the 09 or newer.
