987 Convertible Top -Dealership

Just purchased a gorgeous 2006 Boxster S in December, took delivery and stored until a few weeks ago in Subzero Michigan. First time to put the top down and POP/Crack. Upon closer inspection the pivot rod white plastic balls broke in half, BOTH of them. Took to the dealership, car just out of CPO by two weeks. Dealer called porsche for relief and NOT A PENNY.... dealership initial bill was just under 300.OO parts and service.. The service advisor could not believe Porsche didnt perform a goodwill adjustment.... Guess what the DEALERSHIP DID! Paid $110.00 AND guarenteed for 2 years and unlimited miles vs if porsche paid ZERO guarentee... Moral of the story GREAT dealership...Porsche of the Motor City Detroit.... Lame on Porsche! Love the car... my former P car was a 1987 911 Coupe... miss it, but the Boxster S is a blast!
